Quiet, Smooth and Perfect Speed Regulation! A True Classic, Complete 1940 Crinkle Featherweight 221. Produced Just Before or at the very Beginning of World War II All make this Quite Possibly the. Most Historically Relevant of All Featherweights!

It wasn't shiny enough. I believe this machine system to be 100% Original to THIS Machine. The only exceptions being the standard consumable items such as felt pads, belt, and needle.

It is estimated as few as 200 Wrinkle / Crinkle / Godzilla Face Plate Featherweights were Ever Available for Retail Sale. Due to Singer's extremely poor serial number record keeping and badge allocation practices, it is impossible to find an exact number. I know their badge allocation did not lead to sequential production.

Many / most of the machines in this same badge allocation were not crinkle finish machines. After 78 Years, This particular, per-World War II, 1940 Crinkle Finish Black Featherweight is in remarkably Grand Condition. Please review pictures carefully as Antique Condition can be subjective. All items are smoke and odor-free. Light works and has new felt pad. System Includes Original Items As Pictured. Nal Case with Oil Can Clip & Full Case Tray. Original Foot, Foot Pedal, Bobbins, Old Singer Oil Tube and accessories not pictured.

No rust on this 2. The Rich Wrinkle Textured Finish Shows No Chipping and No Repairs. The only imperfections, is some paint from original owner from possibly painting a room.

The case has a few dings and dents, but is sturdy and very serviceable with the Original Handle. The inside of the case has some dings from placing the machine in and out of the case. The case has scarring expected with the age but remains fully functional. This Handsome Case has done a terrific job protecting this amazing machine for the last 79 Years!
