The paint is original and the gold decorations or near perfect too. This machine is very solid and you can actually sew with this machine.There is even a small compartments underneath the sewing machine which can be opened by loosening a screw and tilt the machine backwards as shown in picture #21. The original oil can and two sewing attachments are still in the compartment. Even the original tin cover to cover the machine is still present and both latches to secure the cover to the machine are intact. The only thing which I replaced is the leather belt which was long gone. I replaced it with a real leather belt to keep it original. The table is at a hight of 26-3/4 inches above the floor. There is some paint loss on the treadle as you can see.
There are no breaks or repairs or cracks on any parts of the machine or treadle.
